For young professionals in Indonesia: 'AI raises the bar and breaks the career ceiling' according to a new study by Microsoft and LinkedIn.
Their 2024 Work Trend Index revealed "a high percentage of knowledge workers in Indonesia using generative AI and a strong belief among business leaders in the necessity of AI adoption for maintaining competitiveness, both surpassing regional and global figures."
69% of Indonesian company leaders said that they will not hire candidates who lack AI skills.
And 76% said they would rather hire candidates with AI skills, even if they were less experienced than other candidates overall.
